Instructions for Parents 14

Just got back from Half Price with Justin and my brother. We all bought some books. I love trips to the bookstore. I always feel like I have to buy something there — I find things to buy, aimlessly. Like shopping at Abercrombie, I cannot leave unless I buy something. I really did buy some useless books today — a pack of Harlequin books that I have no interest for, but they were in bundles.. and bundles save money! You can buy lots of books for little. I love books to fill my book shelves. I have no more space but there’s no harm in adding more books to your collection. I might start reading one of them tonight, but right now I’m in the middle of The Fifth Child by Lessing.

At checkout at the bookstore, I asked the lady to give me a bag. Then I thought, How selfish and inconsiderate of me about the environment? They are promoting ways one could be friendly to the environment by asking you to buy their 98 cent eco bags so you don’t have to waste plastic bags… and I noticed that the workers wear “Eco Friendly” green TShirts. And there I was, asking for a plastic bag. No wonder she didn’t even offer me one in the first place.

My siblings are thinking of getting a Wii Fit. What do you think of that? Worth the money?

Also, I broke my vegetarian streak of one day today. I was really  hungry and my parents came home with good pizza. Of course they didn’t buy any cheese pizza, so I had meat. I guess I’ll start again tonight.

  1. That’s funny that you buy books with no intention of reading them. :P

I have three or four eco-friendly bags that I use when I can remember to bring them with me. It bums me out when I get to a store and realize I forgot to bring my reusable bags knowing I’m only there to purchase a handfull of things. I got one from my Step-Mother-in-Law recently that folds up into it’s own case small enough to fit inside of my purse! I remembered to throw it in there just this morning. Now I will always be prepared!! :D

The Wii Fit. I’ve heard that it’s good if you want to use it to occupy your time in an active way but it’s not even close to a supplement for a good workout. I think it’s that type of thing that’s great to have but not to be used as your sole source of exercise. I hear they are tons of fun though, no doubt!

Good luck with your veggie diet start-over. I know it’s so hard to turn down delicious pizza! It’s one of my favorites. :D

Ps. The baby photograph is HILARIOUS! Hahahaha. I love those!
